Martin Jensen Heskier

His Design and Art involves the interplay and interaction of streamlined aesthetics and usability. Martin Heskier creates symbolic shapes where Form Enhances Function in Three-Dimensional Design. He use negative space to create balance and works with evolved forms that are pared down to their most essential and intrinsic lines and structures.

Heskier captures the interaction between the manifested and the unexpressed to promote visual gratification and connection with the subconscious. He combines modern functionality with naturalistic art and communicates these concepts through the formation and production of: Architectural Features; Sculptures and Fountains; Industrial Design Solutions; Textiles; Personal Accessories and Ergonomic Interior Products that are useful, resonate with the psyche and can be appreciated as Functional Urban Art ®

He apprenticed with his parents, who were prominent Danish furniture designers, from a young age and founded his first design firm in 1985. He made his name initially in Textile Design, working for Taunus Textiledruck, Zimmer & Rohde, Sahco Hesslein and JAB Anstoetz in Germany, Kawashima in Japan, and for many other textile editors around the world. Amongst his exhibitions is the solo exhibition at the National Textile Museum in Denmark in 2001 of larger significance as he transformed the museum to an experience in cellular wellbeing and balance based on his insights in Physical Medicine, Energy and Emotional Empowerment based on his design terminology of Form Enhances Function. He has received several grants from the National Danish Art Foundation. Mr Heskier has designed personal accessories for Royal Copenhagen and George Jensen and lamps for Le Klint.  He has sculptures that are displayed in Denmark and the USA and has paintings in private collections throughout Europe. His most recent industrial design products is the Heskiers OneTool, recognized internationally for its' unique physical healing properties combined with the innovative Heskiers Method introducing new modalities to the existing Manual Health on a interdisciplinary scale.

Mr Heskier recently added Art and Architectural Projects designed and manufactured on specific in-dept-interviews with the Contractor to establish the outmost accuracy in performance of well being and featured intention according to specific wish and need at hand. An example is e.g a recent work for the Developer of Environmental Faculty, Berkley, CA (work in progress) that signifies and purifies the un manifested potential of Concentration and Creativity according to the Human Body and the Human Perceptional Set Up.
